Now we get into one of the most useful and valuable parts of Workmate. Workmate Explorer has been given this name for reasons that will be obvious if you have used Microsoft products, particularly Microsoft Explorer.
Workmate Explorer is designed to let you build, maintain and view all information about your plant and equipment simply and easily. Within a matter of hours anyone will be able to lookup an asset, view specifications, details and history for any asset listed within your plant. All of this can be done without using the keyboard.
We have deliberately set Workmate Explorer up to resemble Microsoft Explorer very closely. This is to make it easy for people who are unfamiliar with computers to begin to Get Results with as little effort and input from supervisory staff or management.
Workmate Explorer organises all information about your plant and equipment literally at the fingertips of anyone who has access to the system and the appropriate sign-on authority. The window is divided into two sections. The left hand section contains the location structure of your plant with the right hand side of the window displaying the assets that are listed within the location that has been selected. |

To open Workmate Explorer press the Explorer button in the top left hand corner of the screen or choose Application/Workmate Explorer form the menu bar. Workmate Explorer will open. |

2. A list of assets will appear on the right hand side of the screen with an asset title, ID code and last activity date.
3. Highlight the asset you want to explore and press the right mouse button. Choose a topic from the list of options and press the left mouse button.

Press any of these tab options to view the contents of the folder for the asset displayed.
Version 4.0 of Workmate will have some additional tabs in this area including a Statistics tab for displaying the performance of this asset by a number of popular criteria. Version 4.0 of Workmate will be released in about August 2000. |
